CATHOLIC 2ND TO PACE LOUISIANA ENTRANTS
Powerful MacArthur High of Oklahoma captured the title at the prestigious Deep South Bayou Duals at the Baton Rouge River Center Exhibition Hall Saturday.
MacArthur downed Catholic High of Baton Rouge 41-12 in the title match. Catholic had advanced to the final after tying Jesuit 26-26 but winning the tie-breaker over the Blue Jays.
Brother Martin finished third, easily beating Jesuit 70-0 after falling 34-24 to MacArthus in the semifinals.
Rummel went 6-3 at the tournament while St. Paul's was 5-5 in dual meets against some of the top teams from around the country. Here are results:
