Five different Evangel Christian wrestlers recorded pins during the Shreveport City Championship Friday night.
Evangel's Bradley Wright went 2-0, pinning Bryce Rogers of Calvary Baptist and DeCoreyon Howard on Hunting in the 120-pound weight class.
Evangel's Jacob Bailey, too, went 2-0, pinning Brian Barber of Calvary Baptist and winning by decision against Johntrell Blue of Huntington in the 126-pound weight class.
In the 132-pound weight class, Roderick Ward of Evangel pinned Cole Downey, but lost by decision to Kalik Battle of Byrd.
Benjamin Kirkikis went 2-0 in the 145-pound weight class, pinning Johnie Long of Byrd and Ashton Wilson of Huntington.
In the 285-pound weight class, Quin Gillian of Byrd defeated Logan Williams of Evangel by decision. Williams pinned Braden Carter of Calvary Baptist to go 1-1 in the tournament.
