The Wolves’ top wrestler in the 160-pound class won an individual title at the St. Paul’s Invitational this past Saturday by defeating Fontainebleau’s Brandon Verges in a 9-1 decision. He also defeated Chalmette’s Keith Williams by pin in the semifinals.

It was St. Paul’s only first-place mark in the meet. The title increases LeBlanc’s chances of becoming the top seed in the LHSAA state meet, which will be held Feb. 21-22 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner.
