Schermer was a major contributor to Brusly’s squad Saturday, which set a new LHSAA state wrestling composite record with a team total of 343.5 en route to its 11th Division III state title. The Panther senior swept through all three rounds of competition with three pins to win the 152-pound class crown and earn Division III’s Outstanding Wrestler honors.
