1988: 12th Annual Lafayette Invitational Tournament*

Comeaux High School, Lafayette, Louisiana

Jesuit of New Orleans made its initial appearance in this tournament a memorable one by scoring 196 points to claim the team title.  The Blue Jays of Coach Sam Harnsongkram had four individual champions: Spencer Harris (119 lbs.), Scott Drews (126 lbs.), Shep Baumer (145 lbs.) and Greg Lacour (155 lbs.).  Kerry Bouman's (112 lbs.) of Comeaux and Larry Carter (138 lbs.) of Redemptorist each claimed his second Lafayette Invitational title.  A total of 37 teams participated.
