The Louisiana High School Wrestling Archives website is dedicated to providing an all-encompassing history of Louisiana high school wrestling.  Coach Bill Bofinger's (Lee High) book Ready....Wrestle already provides all one could want to know about the state wrestling tournament in Louisiana.  The LHSWA would like to accentuate that with results from other tournaments, dual meets, high school histories and wrestling histories of individual wrestlers, coaches and others who have had an impact on Louisiana high school wrestling.

Serving Louisiana wrestling since 2012...

The Louisiana Wrestling News, now in its 11th year, provides event-specific coverage of selected high school wrestling tournaments and dual meets throughout the high school wrestling season, as well as some events in the LHSAA "off-season."  When providedthem, it also lists school, tournament and dual meet schedules, clinic flyers and other information the editor deems important enough to share regarding Louisiana high school wrestling.

NOTE: Due to the vast increase in the amount of dual meets in the last few years the LHSWA will no longer publish their results.  Some dual meet tournament results may be scanned and published.

Coach Bill Bofinger of Baton Rouge has compiled and published a comprehensive history of  Louisiana high school state wrestling tournaments, starting with the first tournament held at the New Orleans Athletic Club in 1945, and currently updated as far as the 2018 state tournament.  The book not only provides lists of team scores, state champions, Runners-Up and final match scores, but also includes narratives for each year, profiles of prominent figures in Louisiana high school wrestling history and tables of state championship statistics.  Ready....Wrestle is a "must" for anyone who participated in a Louisiana state wrestling tournament.
